Living in Lakemore Ohio, just 3 blocks from Lakemore elementary school, walking to school, for a field trip to pepperidge farms, an all-day field trip, I'm at school on the first floor with the rest of the school, getting ready to go to the school buses, and a teacher came up to me, and said, that I couldn't go, and to go to my regular classroom, so I went upstairs to the 2nd floor, stopped at the wall of windows, looking at all the buses waiting for all the students, so I went into the classroom, sat down, at my regular desk, and waited, then the 1st grade teacher came in and handed me a small piece of paper with a list of 5 letter words and I was supposed to practice spelling, so she left, hours later, she came in, and told me to go to the bathroom if needed, then get in line for lunch, so went to get lunch, and kids in front of me only half my size, and seeing all the adults behind the counter, all looking at me, and the head lady said, you can have anything you want, as many ice creams, so got food, went to the tables and all were empty except two tables, the 1st graders were the only other students there that day and one teacher, so the teacher just across from me, 2 seats to my left, and told me, just go back to the classroom after you finish eating, so I went back to the classroom, seat down, never had looked at that piece of paper after the teacher had given it to me, then end of the day, she came into the classroom, and told me that i can go home now, so I walked home, nobody on the streets or at home, the field trip was an all-dayer. Never thought about that again as a kid and was never upset about that at all, just puzzled, and the teacher never once asked about that piece of paper at all...
